I went for a walk the other day in my hometown and popped Into a local clothing shop. The seller looked at my coat and told “This coat looks so nice, but I haven’t seen it anywhere here. Where is it from?” I thought for a second that for the last couple of years I’m only wearing Orolay coats on cold or windy winter days. Now that is true loyalty 🙂
You guys have seen me wearing them many times on stories and posts and sometimes advertising them. Some of you asked me what size is best to order? So I wanted to answer your questions here and outline why I think Orolay is a great choice for winter jackets.
First of all, the price. Have you ever tried to search for dawn jackets? They usually are quite pricey. But boy are they worth the buck! Dawn is a fantastic insulator as the loft (or fluffiness) of dawn creates thousands of tiny air pockets which trap warm air and retain heat, thus helping to keep the wearer very warm in cold winter weather. At the same time, dawn jacket allows your body to “breathe” more than a synthetic one. So no sweating with this one even if the weather gets a bit warmer 🙂 The Orolay coat has a wind-proof exterior that’s filled with thick duck dawn and duck feather along with zippered sides, several zippered pockets, and a fleece-lined hood. What made it rise to internet fame, however, is its incredibly affordable price. Orolay makes their jackets with dawn for one of the best prices that I’ve seen..
Quality. I have worn my brown sherpa jacket nonstop last winter and was super happy about it. It stood all my winter adventures, hiking, snow fights, and so on. The jacket is lightweight but thick and well insulated. It has plenty of pockets that can hold everything. Plus, it has side zippers that can be unzipped for more room to breathe when moving or sitting or zipped up for a more snug fit. The zippers are good quality, too, and zip and unzip with ease without getting stuck or snagging.
Style. I‘m in love with their sherpa jackets! They have an absolutely fabulous style. This year I got another one that you guys voted to be even better than the last years’ brown one. The white Orolay jacket has a pearl shine to it which did not reflect in photos as much, but in reality, it is super gorgeous. It’s also very soft, fuzzy, and mink.
And finally the question about the sizing. I usually tend to buy my coats a size bigger than my true size, as I love to have that extra room for bulky sweaters and to achieve the oversized look. But if you want the jacket fitting like a glove, I’m sure that your true size would be just fine.
If you ask me when is the best time to buy winter coats, I would say it’s the end of the season for sure. You get your favorite coats at the best price and you are ready for the next season before it even starts.
Until next time loves.xx
