Hello gorgeous babes. Let’s talk about the ways to treat yourself while staying at home this summer. Since a lot of services has been closed, there are still many ways to pamper ourselves and treat ourselves well. So here I have listed some home SPA treatments that could help you, your hair, your skin, and your body.
1. Coconut and coffee scrub
Do you have a so-called “goose skin”? Or maybe you just want soft and even skin? This treatment helps a lot to make skin lush and nice to touch. I have been using this scrub since my high school and am still loving it. You can make it yourself in just 5 minutes. All you need is coconut oil and coffee. I use ground coffee which is left after drinking my morning coffee. Mix it well with around the same amount of coconut oil and voila. Your scrub is ready to use! Store it in a jar and place it in your bathroom. I usually finish it in about 2-3 weeks but even a month would be ok to have it without it being spoiled. You might enjoy scrubing all body with it, cause coffee is a natural remedy for sunspots, redness and cellulite. Caffein acid, an antioxidant, may boost collagen levels and reduce the premature ageing of cells.
2. Keratin hair treatment
Keratin treatments dive into the hair follicle and inject porous areas with keratin, an essential hair protein. Your hair appear healthier, because it actually is. Ever wondered how celebrities have such glowing hair? Some of you already tried it in salons too. But now since many hairdressers are unavailable it is much harder to take care of hair and maintain its’ healthy look. So to solve this problem you can use O’WOW at home smoothing treatment. It’s basically the same keratin treatment which is in salons but with no nasty chemicals. All the ingredients are natural yet it still gives a gorgeous result which lasts up to 3 months.
3. Teeth whitening
Who doesn’t want to have a white and gorgeous smile? It might be difficult to maintain it if you are a coffee lover or enjoy red wine, chocolate and spicy food. But you can easily brighten up your teeth a couple of shades by using some home-based devices. I am using Snow teeth whitening kit and am truly loving it.
4. Get tanned at home
I know it is extremely difficult right now to go on vacation and it might be hard to get that beautiful summer tan. To make you look a bit more bronzed I suggest trying Bali Body self-tanning mousse. This shade looks very natural and is not too dark. Besides, it doesn’t stain your clothes. They also have an option for ultra-dark colour for those of you who want to look like you just came back from Bali 🙂
5. Mechanical skin exfoliation
Exfoliation is a necessary part of any good skincare routine. It can truly elevate your skincare regimen and help your skin look its best. Exfoliation lifts away dead skin cells from skin’s surface revealing a new fresh layer of surface cells. If you are looking for a soft exfoliator or for an everyday option you might wanna try Michael Todd sonic skin cleansing system. It strips away dead skin cells, makeup, dirt and oil really well. It also has antimicrobial brushes which means that it does not hold the bacteria in the device.
6. Overnight skin treatments
Dry skin can get even drier in the summer. Sun exposure, heat and chlorine can dry out your skin in the warmer months as you spend more time outside or poolside. You may also become more dehydrated as the temperature rises which can affect your skin’s appearance. To save some time during the day you can use overnight treatments such as Emma Hardie Moringa Renewal Treatment mask. It’s very moisturising and has an amazing natural smell. I use it once in a while before going to sleep right after exfoliating my skin.
7. Treat your skin and hair to a silk pillowcase
Silk pillowcases exist to give you the beauty sleep of your dreams. They can improve skin and hair hydration, prevent fine lines and wrinkles, and result in smoother, frizz-free hair every morning. No matter what position you sleep in, you spend hours each night with your hair or face pressed up against a pillow. Turns out all that friction can cause creases that turn into wrinkles over time, not to mention bedhead that’ll take longer to style in the morning. So silk pillowcases really do make a difference. Mayfairsilk has a big variety of colours for their pillowcases. And also they offer super cute sleep masks which is a great alternative to the cotton ones.
These are all my tips for pampering yourself this summer. I hope you like them. If I missed any good ones, give me a shout. You can always reach me through DMs if you have any questions or just would like to say hi. Stay gorgeous this summer 😉
